Straight answers before you join.
Can a hardware store or a larger retail brand participate?
Yes. We are looking for stores carrying useful everyday products, including tools, hardware, and household supplies. If a regional or corporate team controls your product data, we will coordinate with the person who can approve sharing it. A listing does not require changing how you sell.
Do shoppers buy through Find It Hawaiʻi?
No. Shoppers compare participating listings, then contact or visit your store, or follow your website link. You keep the sale and the customer relationship.
What does the pilot cost?
Version 1 is free for merchants and shoppers. There is no billing setup, commission, or long-term commitment in the pilot.
Do I need a point-of-sale integration?
No. Manual entry and a standard CSV are the first supported paths. Any future system connection would require separate technical review and explicit authorization.
Will Find It Hawaiʻi scrape our website?
No. Product results use only data supplied or explicitly authorized by participating merchants. We do not create fictional inventory or infer a partnership from public information.
What happens when inventory gets old?
An affirmative stock update older than 72 hours changes to “Call to confirm.” Shoppers can also report a listing that appears inaccurate.
Can we stop participating?
Yes. A merchant can pause publishing, correct records, narrow the authorized scope, or revoke permission. We keep an operational record of important changes.
When will shoppers see us?
Your listings appear after your business is approved, written data permission is confirmed, and the product information is checked. We agree on the starting product set and update routine before publishing.
